About the channel
Masters Up Close looks at classic paintings up close, one detail at a time. Each video takes a famous work and looks closely at what is actually in it: the curious detail, the story behind it and the questions it still raises.
About Erik
I'm Erik Bork, owner of Masters Up Close. I'm a trained journalist, and I write and give talks about culture, society and tech, among other things.
I'm also a guide at one of Denmark's most beautiful churches, Grundtvig's Church in Copenhagen.
